Kamalayan Crew
exploring Filipino culture through activities that promote wellbeing

The Tagalog word "kamalayan" translates to "consciousness" or "awareness".
Kamalayan Crew is a community about exploring Filipino culture through activities that promote wellbeing in daily life.
Community events involve activities that explore Filipino culture, encourage gentle self-inquiry and help to build daily wellbeing practices. Think mindfulness sessions, book club meets, walk and talks and wellbeing check-ins at cafes.
Events are hosted by Trish, a Filipino-born Australian who grew up feeling like an "outsider" to both Filipino and Australian culture. Whilst she juggles full-time work as a human-centred designer and part-time study, she is seeking to maintain connection with others and daily wellbeing practices through getting to know her roots as a Filipina. If you'd like to host or co-host a session, please contact Trish here.
The community is open to all - including those who are homesick for the Philippines, those who wish to connect/reconnect with their heritage, those who are simply curious about FIlipino culture.
